Thank Yous
Thank You...
Thank You . . .
Two months ago, we lost one of the brightest lights of our lives, Brady
Michael McDermott. We have since experienced, side-by-side, the depths of both grief and gratitude. Like Brady's life, these past months have been a lesson in love. Words can't adequately express our gratitude for how this community has gathered around our family. Sometimes we
forget that all of you are grieving like us. We take comfort and joy in
knowing Brady is still with us, looking out for his sisters, inspiring all his friends and family to live and love life to its fullest, as he did.
Thank you for loving Brady; to Chad and everyone at Kelly Concrete - you are the best work family our son could have asked for, and to know that side of his life has truly been a blessing to our family; to all those who made his send-off a truly moving musical experience, one he would have appreciated (maybe the songs weren't quite the rowdy kind for his
patented penguin dance, but he was smiling big somewhere); to
everyone who brought us food and spirits, and the gift of their thoughts and prayers in the weeks after Brady's passing; and to the Monticello faith community, which came together to give us wisdom and warmth at a time both were sorely needed.
Knowing Brady was loved so well by so many is a blessing to us all. We are so fortunate to have a little smiling, mischief-making, T-ball-playing
reminder of Brady and everything he was in his son, Collin Michael
(another "blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy," as his grandma likes to say).
Deep thanks to everyone who has contributed to the Collin Michael McDermott Education Fund to support his quest to be everything his
father ever dreamed to be.
- Much love,
Denny, Debbie, Kellie, Megan, Collin, Stella & Scarlett
