IOWA CITY — The Big Ten announced its women’s basketball scheduling assignments for the 2019-20 season Wednesday.
Iowa’s schedule looks like this:
HOME: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, Ohio State.
AWAY: Michigan, Northwestern, Purdue, Rutgers.
HOME & AWAY: Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Wisconsin.
Iowa was 29-7 last season, and its 14-4 Big Ten mark was good for second place. The Hawkeyes won the Big Ten tournament title and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament.
Two starters return, Kathleen Doyle and Makenzie Meyer. Gone are Megan Gustafson, the consensus national player of the year, Hannah Stewart and Tania Davis. Those three accounted for 62.5 percent of the team’s scoring.
The schedule — both conference and non-conference — will be released at a later date.
