Remember the television game show, “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?” I will go way out on a limb and state that the members of the U.S. Congress are smarter than a 5th grader, but it is debatable if they are smarter than a high school senior class.
I read several reports that a majority of Americans in a new survey are in support of letting recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program stay in the country. Count me in on the majority side of that debate.
If a majority of voters believe this issue should be fixed, why hasn’t our elected representatives taken care of this issue months ago? I thought they represented the voters and in this case there is a clear case of the voters wishes.
If they can’t take care of the less complicated issues on a timely basis, how do we expect them to take care of the more complex issues?
Oh, here is a thought, turn it over to a senior high school class. We don’t have to provide them with a Cadillac pension plan just pizza and soda.
