As a student at Linn-Mar High School, I have borne witness to the benefits created by adequate public school funding. We need a person to represent Iowa House District 68 who will continue the long-standing Iowa tradition of strong public schools. For this reason, I support Molly Donahue.
Molly has the experience needed to strengthen and maintain Iowa's public schools. With over 25 years of teaching experience, Molly knows firsthand how budget cuts affect kids. Leaders who understand the real-world effects of their policies are a precious asset.
Moreover, her work in special education qualifies her. Those with experience in special education are well suited for leadership because they know how to meet the needs of our most vulnerable students, not just the top students. I also support her education policy ideas. I fully support Molly's initiative to stop the school voucher programs, as well as her plan to make sure that public money doesn't go toward private schools.
From my experience volunteering for Molly's 2016 and 2018 campaigns, she is one of the hardest workers I have ever seen. Nearly every night she is knocking on doors and talking to residents in her district. Our public servants should be good, honest, hardworking people, and at a time when those traits seem to be lacking in our politics, I think Molly Donahue is ready to raise the bar.
