Metro High School senior Crystal LeClere, 17, assisted Takes with making the mural. Metro High School received a grant from the Greater Cedar Rapids Foundation that paid for the costs of the mural and for Takes to hold workshops on air brushing at the school. "The idea was to show that Metro is a community," said LeClere, "and that we take these steps in life and some of us make it."
