Hair rock fan? Pick your poison: Bret Michaels is returning to Cedar Rapids.

Michaels announced today in a release that he will perform Nov. 9 at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids as part of extended dates on his “Unbroken World Tour.”

These additional dates are being labeled “Hometown Heroes” special events, which will benefit not only Type 1 diabetes research (Michaels is diabetic) but also local charities in each city.

In Cedar Rapids, the charities include Last Hope Animal Rescue, Cedar Rapids Police Department K-9 unit and the Freedom Foundation.

The release also states that local “hometown heroes,” such as veterans, teachers and firefighters, will be feted on stage at the show.

Michaels’ set list for his shows on this tour includes a variety of Poison hits and a few covers. According to the release, his accompanying acts include Night Ranger and Lita Ford, with country superstars Joe Nichols and Joe Diffie.

Tickets will be on sale Friday morning this week, Wednesday morning for “special pre sales.” Tickets are on sale here, and there’s even a handy countdown clock.
