DES MOINES — It may have seemed many times that there was only one piece of legislation being considered by state lawmakers this year at the Iowa Capitol — an overhaul of Iowa area education agencies’ funding and operations. But in fact hundreds of bills were introduced during the session that concluded this weekend.
Which bills were approved by the 2024 Session of the 90th General Assembly? Which failed?
The following lists show which bills were passed by both legislative chambers, including those that have already been signed into law by Gov. Kim Reynolds and those that await her approval or veto.
Reynolds has 30 days from the end of the legislative session to decide whether to sign any bill passed by the Iowa Legislature.
