MORE VOTER FRAUD CHARGES

Iowa Secretary of State Matt Schultz announced Wednesday that nine people have been charged with voter fraud in Iowa. Eight of the cases were filed recently by Black Hawk County Attorney Tom Ferguson and one case was filed by Lee County Attorney Michael Short, according to a news release issued by Schultz's office. "I want to thank County Attorney Ferguson and County Attorney Short for taking election integrity seriously," Schultz said in a statement. "Every vote can make a big difference and Iowans expect nothing less than fair and honest elections." Charges of election misconduct in the first degree, a Class D felony, were filed against Robert Anthony, 56, Michelle Bruno, 39, Ricco Cooper, 39, Anthony Greer, 25, Harold Redd Jr., 48, Glen Tank, 42, Philip Thomas, 29, and Rosa Wilder, 49, all of Waterloo. Also, a charge of perjury, a Class D felony, was filed against Kelli Jo Griffin, 40, of Montrose. The Iowa Secretary of State's office refers potential voter fraud cases to Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation to investigate. After the investigation, DCI then refers the potential voter fraud cases to the county attorneys for prosecution.
