CNN segment on Cedar Rapids small-business recovery to air this weekend on 'Your $$$$$'

CNN will air a piece about Cedar Rapids flood recovery on its “Your $$$$$” show which airs at noon Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday, reports Catie Kriewald, vice president of marketing and communications at the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce.
The news segment will feature a local small business, Bimm Ridder Sportswear, which had been housed in a space in the old Sinclair meatpacking plant until it was flooded out in the June 2008 flood. Bimm Ridder owner Gary Ficken now has the business in a new building at 817 Second Ave. SE.
The CNN crew was in Cedar Rapids on Oct. 1 to report on the story.
