ON RAMP:
Visitors in downtown Cedar Rapids will soon have a new on ramp to the information super highway. ImOn Communication is funding the Wi-Fi network, including infrastructure and maintenance costs. The downtown district has not had access to free Wi-Fi since 2008, when flooding ended a network established by non-profit Corridor Free Wireless.

FEWER IS GOOD:
Iowa's abortion rate has slipped again, down an additional 5 percent from last year. Women had 4,397 abortions in Iowa in 2013, down from 4,648 in 2012. The annual number has declined nearly 35 percent since 2007. Abortion frequency has declined nationally as well.
