The Revolution will be Closed Press*

Jan. 12, 2010 8:36 am
* Except for "selected journalists."
The first National Tea Party convention will be closed to the media next month. Except for special friendly scribes, bloggers etc.
That transparency model is already being employed here in Iowa.
O. Kay Henderson of Radio Iowa reports how media types were barred from attending yesterday's Republican legislative kickoff breakfast. The RPI later posted chairman Matt Strawn's remarks on YouTube.
But it turns out The Iowa Republican was more than welcome at the breakfast. The news site written by Republicans, for Republicans has full coverage of Republicans. Apparently, they have a "bounce in their step as they return to the state capitol," a nuance that would have been totally ignored by the MSM.
I wonder what the legislative credentialing process will be like if the GOP retakes control.
