Fun with Lists - Proposed Hotel Names

Jul. 8, 2010 2:30 pm
So the city has made an official $1.5 million bid for the Crowne Plaza Five Seasons Hotel in downtown Cedar Rapids.
City leaders hope to take control of the property to make sure that its revamp runs in lockstep with the renovation of the connected U.S. Cellular Center and construction of new convention halls. Their arguments make some sense, although there is some risk involved if no buyer is eventually found.
I know the joint will remain the "Crowne Plaza," but that didn't stop me from thinking up some other possible names that might be more appropriate if/when the city takes over ownership.
They're all meant in fun. Really. And feel free to make your own suggestions.
