Flav, we hardly knew ye
Apr. 25, 2011 1:10 pm
Just as you were about to really get over to Clinton to check out the fried chicken stylings of former Public Enemy and over-the-top personality Flavor Flav, the Associated Press reports the show is over.
Just four months after opening, the restaurant suddenly closed this past weekend after Flav and a business partner "exchanged harsh words." According to the AP:
Flav told WQAD-TV that he was pulling a license that allowed restaurant manager Nick Cimino to use his name in the restaurant because he "isn't running the business right."Cimino told the station Flav was "a fraud" who was trying to get rich off of his ideas and work.

The dust-up comes in the wake of complaints from employees who say they weren't getting paid. Guess we shouldn't have believed the hype.
OK, so I deserve those groans. Here's a peace offering. It's not lunch, but it's something.
