Be nice: Those negative online comments might get you hurt
Oct. 1, 2010 5:12 pm
I was wrapping up for the week, when I saw a Tweet from Iowa's AP Bureau Chief Carol Riha about a Kansas City woman police say drove all the way to Ottumwa in an attempt to kill a man who'd called her nasty names in an online comment board.
According to MediPost, police say Brianna Greathouse, 25, was upset by Forrest Jamison's comments about her. Fortunately, no one was hurt.
But between that incident and the recent death of
Rutgers University freshman Tyler Clementi, who was cyber bullied by a roommate before killing himself, it does make you wonder about the line between free speech and harassment. What do you think?
