Zach Johnson to make special announcement in Cedar Rapids July 5

Former Masters champion Zach Johnson will make a special announcement that will benefit his hometown of Cedar Rapids and the state of Iowa at Elmcrest Country Club in Cedar Rapids on Monday, July 5.

The announcement will include a description of a new event and additional efforts that will benefit families in need, according to an email press release  from the PGA Tour.

Johnson is a seven-time PGA TOUR winner, including a victory at the 2007 Masters Tournament. Earlier this year, Johnson posted a final-round 64 to win the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial in Fort Worth, TX. He has also represented the United States in team competition at the Presidents Cup (2007, 2009) and Ryder Cup (2006).

He is scheduled play in the PGA event, the John Deere Classic, July 8-11, at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, IL.
