Zach Johnson to make cut comfortably at British Open

Cedar Rapids native Zach Johnson will make the cut with room to spare at the British Open, after a 2-under par round Friday at the Royal St. Georges golf course in Sandwich, England.
Johnson had birdies on the par-3 holes 3, 11 and 16, but bogeyed the par-4 fourth hole for his second-round score of 68. He had carded a 2-over 72 in his first round.
As of 1:30 p.m. Friday, Johnson was tied for 19th place with 13 other golfers, four shots behind co-leaders Darren Clarke and Lucas Glover, each at -4.
