SHEBOYGAN, Wis.- Zach Johnson fired a 2 under par 70 in the final round of the PGA Championship. Zach finished tied for third at 10 under par and took home 435 grand. Martin Kaymer won the PGA
Championship in a three-hole playoff that did not include Dustin
Johnson, who was penalized two strokes for grounding his club in a
bunker on the last hole.
Johnson had a one-shot lead playing the final hole at Whistling
Straits when he drove into one, a tiny patch of sand where the
gallery had been walking all week. Johnson grounded his club,
unaware he was in the sand.
He missed a 7-foot par putt to seemingly slip into a three-man
playoff with Kaymer and Bubba Watson. But the two-shot penalty sent
him into a tie for fifth. As he was leaving the course, Kaymer was
coming up clutch again.
