Zach Bohannon to transfer from Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Former Linn-Mar prep Zach Bohannon is leaving the Air Force Academy, telling the Colorado Springs Gazette it was a “complex” decision.
“This place is full of great opportunities,” he said. “But I didn't feel a career in the military was for me.”
Bohannon would have had to make a military commitment by next fall, the start of his junior year.
“I just felt this was the best time,” he said.
Bohannon told the paper he will be looking for schools closer to home.
