20 FROM MOSERS CAPTURE USTA TITLES
MARSHALLTOWN - Twenty members of the Moser School of Dance and Gymnastic recently won titles at a USTA Power Tumbling meet that included around 500 athletes from 18 clubs.
Mosers winners were Jacob Gasper, Makayla Gasper, Madison Habel, Gertrude Wall, Sarah VanDeWalle, Meadelyn Schmitz, Hannabelle Erickson, Claire Jaeger, Journey Even, Claire Cahalan, Taylor Kitner, Alexa Ries, Madilyn Payne, Brody Ries, Kaia Engelhardt, Kalyssa Reimer, Caleb Weber, Cooper Ingles, Logan Bevans and Grace Funke.
Katie Boeding placed second, along with Ella Marting, Myra Clasen, Kayli Tegeler, Taylor Guthrie, Hanna Marting, Michelle Stelken, Melanie Lutgen, Gabriella Guilford, Mikya Britton, Lily Schmitz, Kennedi Bevans, Brian Kammiller, Tucker Erickson, Lainey Knipper, Kaya Knipper, Taylor Mullis, Ella Vaughn, Lena Petlon, Destiny Wall and Tenley Borman. Third-place finishers Noa Marting, Emma Marting, Chloe Bennett, Kennedy Collins, Meliah Eiben, Kennedi McGarvey, Cheyenne Varner, Olivia Besler, Addi Bailey, Abby Cook, Libby Knipper, Elizabeth Recker, Kate Green, Ava Steger, Lilee Boriskey, Kylie Belinsky, Brody Bevans, Tyler Buesing, Nora Sperfslage, Mollie Schaefers, Natalie Ries, Grace Anton and Avery Wheelock.
SOMERSAULTS' HAWKER WINS 4 TITLES
CEDAR RAPIDS - Isabel Hawker of the Somersaults Gymnastics Center in Cedar Rapids won four events at the Twisters' Blizzard Beach meet last weekend, capturing the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and all around in Xcel Silver.
Teammate Ava Christensen won the vault and bars in Xcel Silver and Hannah Brandt captured the beam, Ava Christensen the bars and Kate Rogers the beam. Somersault placewinners in Silver were Bailey Hakert, Natalie Osterberg, Annie Haars, Mia Frame, Ava Blue and Isabelle Howsare. Somersaults Silver finished third as a team in Session 2 and 7.
Somersaults' Emeri Hill won the floor exercise and all around in Xcel Bronze and Carly Cronbaugh (vault), Timberli Hosek (bars) and Alyssa Jarchow also won titles.
Bailey Davis (all around), Brianna Yanga (floor) and Grace Prull (all around) won gold in Xcel Gold and Megan Schulte, Logan Kalous, Alex Jarchow, Baylee Garbielson and Clare Swanson all earned top-three finishes. Somersaults Gold placed second as a team,
LUEKEN, STEPHEN, VALLEY WIN GOLD
WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Reegan Lueken, Jaslyn Stephen and Desdemona Valley of Kids First Gymastics won titles at last weekend's M&M Challenge.
Lueken won the trampoline and placed second in tumbling, Stephen won trampoline and tumbling titles, and Valley captured a tumbling gold while taking second in trampoline.
Morgan Pence and Ciara White were placewinners in tumbling and trampoline, respectively.
MILLER, BROOKE POWER CRAG
CEDAR RAPIDS - Lauren Miller and Brooke Glasbrenner of the Cedar Rapids Association of Gymnastics both won three titles at Twisters' Blizzard Beach Invitational last weekend.
Miller won the beam, floor exercise and all around in Xcel Silver and Foster captured the bars, beam and all around in Xcel Gold. Brooke Glasbrenner (beam, all around) and Kori Lyle (bars, beam) were doulbe-winners in Xcel Golf.
Other CRAG winners in Silver were Grace Noring (vault) and Olivia Lukan (floor). Placewinners were Lindsay Ginger, Isabelle Osterhaus and Chloe Pate. CRAG finished second in the team race.
Emersyn Secora (vault), Lauren Short (bars) and Kaitlyn Stone (beam) won titles for CRAG in Gold while Hannah Behrends, Macie Forck, Maggie Schlamp and Gracie Drury earned top three finishes. CRAG was third in the team race.
At the Leenda's Island Adventure last weekend, CRAG's Riley Smith (vault) and Kareena McSweeney (floor) won gold in levels 7 and 9, respectively. Hailey Hakes and Maanasa Chinnakonda were placewinners in Level 6.
TWISTERS DOMINATES OWN INVITATIONAL
CEDAR RAPIDS - The Twisters Gymnastics club dominated its own Blizzard Beach Invitational last weekend, capturing team gold in Xcel bronze, silver and platinum and placing second in gold.
Sarah Nolting won five events in Xcel Diamond, capturing gold on the bars, beam, floor exercise, vault and all around. Addi Crilly (bars, beam, floor, all-around) and Clara Thurm (vault, beam, floor, all around) both won four titles in the bronze division, and Rebecca Hein (beam, all around) and Mary Morrow (bars, all around) were double winners in gold.
Other Twisters winners were Annabelle Neal (bars) in bronze; Katie Hurkett (all around), Meghan Burtis (vault), Loralei Wilson (floor), Avery Basquin (floor) and Cora Spiegelhalter (bars) in silver; Abby Green (beam), Chloe Schultz (floor) and Allie Long (floor) in gold; and Blair Pladsen (beam) and Gabby Kroeze (bars) in platinum.
Top three placewinners were Ilish Rodeffer, Maggie Goldberg, Ella Lyons, Kayley Harney, Ally Olmstead and Ganesa Papini in bronze; Eve Hansen, Katelyn Callahan, Larissa Cleveland and Lauren Carnahan in silver; Amelia Berger, Rebecca Hein, Audrey Leno, Eizabeth Schultz, Grace Schroeder and Leah Crilley in gold; Brook Pladsen in platinum; and Anna Penning in diamond.
