Xavier grad 2nd in nation in HRs, RBI

Nate Woods, a 2007 graduate of Cedar Rapids Xavier, is second in the nation in Division-I baseball in home runs and runs batted in.

A junior at Belmont University, Woods has hit 13 homers and driven in 49 runs.

A 6-foot-6 first baseman and pitcher, Woods is batting .341 with a .705 slugging percentage.

Belmont is 17-17 overall, 5-7 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
