Wildcats roll past Lynx in Week 6

DELHI - Last Friday night, Maquoketa Valley hosted North-Linn for its homecoming game and demolished the Lynx, 55-14.
The Wildcats started strong, scoring a touchdown minutes into the first quarter on a pass from Jeremy Fischer to Zach Salow. Ryan Parmely followed with the longest rush of the night, scoring a touchdown for the Wildcats. Fischer scored the two-point conversion.
Parmely kept the action going with two more touchdowns in the first quarter. Each touchdown was followed up with an extra point kick from Rob Bockenstedt, bringing the Wildcats to a 28-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter saw Maquoketa Valley score 20 more points and holding the Lynx scoreless. Parmely racked up three more touchdowns before the half ended and Bockenstedt kicked two more PATs.
The Wildcats allowed North-Linn eight points in the third quarter and six in the final quarter, but scored the final points themselves in the fourth on a touchdown from Zak Harbach and another extra point by Bockenstedt.
