Wildcats roar load

DELHI - Maquoketa Valley took on Lisbon last Friday and came out on top, 41-26, bringing the Wildcats record to 5-0.
The first quarter started off rough for the Wildcats with an interception and two touchdowns from Lisbon, but Maquoketa Valley found its strength again toward the end of the quarter.
A touchdown from Ryan Parmely started off the scoring and Rob Bockenstedt followed with his first extra point. The score at the end of the first quarter was 12-7, with the Wildcats still behind.
Parmely scored again in the second quarter, with another extra point by Bockenstedt, putting MV in the lead at 14-12 at the end of the half.
Both teams brought the heat the third quarter, making for an intense battle. Parmely had his longest rush of the night, scoring a touchdown on 57-yards run within the first minutes of the second half, and Bockenstedt kept up the accuracy with another successful extra point. The same duo ended the third quarter with another touchdown and extra point.
In the final quarter, the Wildcats' defense didn't allow a point and the offense got 13 through a touchdown from Trevor Koopmann, another from Parmely and the final extra point from Bockenstedt.
