Which Hawkeye landed in a better NFL situation?

The Iowa football team had two players drafted in the third round on Friday: Tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz and linebacker Christian Kirksey. Both seniors were huge parts of the Hawkeyes' resurgence and Outback Bowl berth in 2013-14, and their size (Fiedorowicz) and speed (Kirksey) made them the team's best NFL prospects.
But an NFL rookie's success or failure can often be determined by the situation he lands in as much as the player's own skill. Which player landed in a better position to succeed?
The Houston Texans, Fiedorowicz' new team, released veteran tight end Owen Daniels in March. Their current starter at the position is Garret Graham, who caught five touchdown passes last season. Tight end Ryan Griffin caught 19 passes last year after Houston picked him 201st in last season's draft.
So Fiedorowicz will likely have an uphill battle just to see time as a No. 2 tight end right away, and Houston doesn't currently have a viable quarterback. But new coach Bill O'Brien knows how to get creative on offense, and knows the Ferentzes well.
Kirksey reportedly said Cleveland plans to play him as an inside linebacker, which the team's official website called its fourth-greatest need for next season. The Browns released veteran D'Qwell Jackson in February. New Cleveland coach Mike Pettine told the Akron Beacon Journal in February that he preferred 'smaller guys that are faster' for his linebackers given the nature of spread offenses. 'You look for run-and-hit guys who can go sideline to sideline.' Kirksey was a surprise pick in the third round and doesn't have Fiedorowicz's made-for-the-NFL build. But he seems to fit what his new coaches are looking for and could have fewer established players blocking his path to the field.
Iowa Hawkeyes linebacker Christian Kirksey forces a fumble by Northern Illinois Huskies tight end Luke Eakes (83) during the first half at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City on Saturday, August 31, 2013. Kirksey recovered ran the ball into the end zone for a touchdown. (Cliff Jette/The Gazette-KCRG TV9)
