West hires Lynn on interim basis

IOWA CITY -- Barb Lynn has been named the interim softball coach at Iowa City West.She fills the void created by Jeff Kelley's resignation.Lynn is a 1993 West alum. She is a math teacher at West and has coached in softball programs at Pleasant Valley, Cedar Rapids Washington and West for 14 seasons."We are thankful that Barb has stepped up to take on this leadership role for our softball program," said West Athletics Director Scott Kibby. "We are confident that she'll do a terrific job for our student-athletes."Softball practice begins next Monday.
