Video 1 - What is it with TV guys and trophy questions? I mean, what's the point?
DE Drew Ott has made himself into a three-down DE. Last year, in pass rush situations, he was coming off the field and the raider group was going on. Ott is a fully matured.
We go over some rush moves. Pretty basic stuff. He did let me in on 'jab ole'”, so that was pretty cool.
Ott did give me a name for the game he ran with DT Louis Trinca-Pasat. He called that the U game. I think that's U and Me.
They talk about their hands so much. Ott has never done any martial arts, 'But just constantly walking through the house and hitting people's hands if they try to touch you, we do that a lot.”
Video 2 - DT Louis Trinca-Pasat breaks it down this way: If you're not ready to go, you're going to end up on the ground. It's kind of a do-or-die situation.
Pretty much.
The D-line is hungry and competing and that makes Iowa a threat in the B1G West.
Video 3 (below) - DT Carl Davis runs down the rush moves for defensive linemen.
I love 'jab ole'”. You listen to all of them, it sounds like a sandwich order.
'They do, actually,” Davis said.
I'll take a 'chop roll” and with a 'rip-spin” to wash it down, please!
