Video 1

- Kirk Ferentz said his offense executed better, at its highest level, perhaps, this season against the Wildcats. You don't like to hear it when they lose, but you know it's true if you slow down the DVR and really watch last week's game.

Standings? They have standings? Of course, this is what the coaches say.

- Sophomore WR Matt VandeBerg with the straight-up Abraham Lincoln beard going.

The WR corps is able to switch gears so quickly. The offense doesn't look to wire through one guy. It's a whole and not part.

MVB has had the thankless job as the WR in the 22 personnel. Last week, that ended up being a couple of different long pass plays.

- Senior WR Kevonte Martin-Manley talks about how the Hawkeyes' receiver group has rolled with the punches. When you count it out, it shows up with a performance like it had last week against Northwestern.

Now, the trick is to do it this week at Minnesota.

- QB Jake Rudock talking about the offensive getting better at improving (I know that's a double positive).

I asked about trophy games. Can you think of any between the Florida schools? I can't, Rudock couldn't. He likes the trophies.

Me? I think Miami (Fla) vs. Florida or whoever plays whomever down there doesn't need a trophy. I think the game can stand on its own.

Now, I love Floyd. Love the organic tradition and the history behind it.

With Cy-Hawk, bring back the Corn Family and let the winning team paint the family members in the school colors. Just trash it. Make it 'interactive.”

The bull trophy with Sconnie and the Heroes Trophy can go away. I like the higher ideal of the Heroes theme, but dump the trophy. You can do that without a trophy.

I like the bull sculpture, but Iowa-Sconnie doesn't need no stinkin' trophy.
