Video: L.A. comedian Mike Bridenstine remains Iowan, Hawkeye

Dec. 31, 2015 6:49 pm
LOS ANGELES — I like stand-up comedians. Besides being funny, they're smart and they're interesting.
Earlier this week, I met up with Mike Bridenstine, who moved from Iowa to Chicago and then Chicago to Los Angeles as he has made a career of stand-up, acting and writing. He is from Muscatine and is a University of Iowa graduate who moved to L.A. in 2007.
In the video that's linked on this post that Gazette photographer Adam Wesley shot, Bridenstine talks to me about not feeling like a Californian, about his apartment being a gathering spot for people to watch Hawkeye football games, and about his refusal to call pop 'soda.'
Thanks to Mike for giving up some time to do this.
