Uthoff earns Nike camp bid

IOWA CITY - Iowa senior forward Jarrod Uthoff was invited to participate in the inaugural 2015 Nike Basketball Academy, held June 26-30 at the Santa Monica (Calif.) Hangar.

Many of the top NBA stars, including LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis and Kevin Durant, will help conduct the camp.

Uthoff, a Cedar Rapids Jefferson graduate, was named third-team all-Big Ten last year. Uthoff (6-foot-9, 210 pounds), finished second for Iowa in scoring (12.4), rebounding (6.4), steals (1.1), and blocks (1.6) and led in 3-pointers (54). The Hawkeyes (22-12) finished third in the Big Ten and won an NCAA tournament game for the first time since 2001. Uthoff was the only Division I player with at least 55 blocked shots, 50 3-pointers and 35 steals last year.
