UNI's Wes Washpun agrees to terms with L.A. Clippers

CEDAR RAPIDS — Northern Iowa guard and Cedar Rapids Washington graduate Wes Washpun agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Clippers and will join the team's summer-league squad, he announced on Twitter.

Washpun, who stands 6-foot-1, was named second-team all-Missouri Valley Conference and the Most Outstanding Player of the MVC Tournament this year. He averaged 14.2 points and 5.3 rebounds last year for the Panthers. In April, Washpun participated in the Portsmouth (Va.) Invitational, a pre-draft showcase for departing seniors.
