UNI to face UNLV in NCAA Tourney

CEDAR FALLS (AP) - Northern Iowa has earned a No. 9 seed for the NCAA tournament's Midwest Region and will face UNLV on Thursday in Oklahoma City.
The Panthers (28-4) won the Missouri Valley's regular season championship and beat Wichita State in the conference tournament last weekend to earn the Valley's automatic bid.
If Northern Iowa advances, they face a likely showdown with top-seeded Kansas in the second round on Saturday.
Northern Iowa will be making their fifth NCAA tournament appearance in seven years. The Panthers lost their last four NCAA tourney games.
