Cedar Rapids Jefferson's softball double-header at Dubuque Senior was postponed due to rain, leaving Jefferson Coach Larry Niemeyer at 1,997 career wins.
Niemeyer has a softball coaching record of 1,997-411 in 50 seasons.
Jefferson (10-3) is scheduled to play at Cedar Rapids Washington on Thursday.
Then, weather permitting, he could reach the 2,000-win mark at the Jack North Tournament on Friday or Saturday in Des Moines.
