Tom Brands earns 200th career dual victory as Iowa downs South Dakota State

Third-ranked Iowa defeated No. 20 South Dakota State, 29-8, in a dual Friday night in Brookings, S.D. The win was the 200th dual meet coaching victory for Iowa's Tom Brands.
The Hawkeyes got a win by technical fall from Thomas Gilman (125) and major-decision wins from Sammy Brooks (184) and Topher Carlson (141).
Former Hawkeye Seth Gross earned a technical fall over Phillip Laux at 133. Gross was dismissed following the 2014-15 season and transferred to SDSU.
