Adversity is something every athlete, or team has to face at some point. It's how you react to adversity that makes a champion.A young Solon football team had it's 42 game winning streaked snapped in week two by Regina, but they have responded like a champion. The Spartans have won 5 straight, and knocked off number one ranked Williamsburg last Friday night 22-7.This Solon football team will face more adversity in the games ahead. The Spartans best player Derrrick Loveless broke his fibula in the first half against Williamsburg and will miss the next 3-4 weeks. Coach Miller is hoping to have his star senior back by the second week of the playoffs.
