The number one teams remain the same, but there is some pretty significant shakeup in this week's edition of The Gazette/Iowa Prep Sports boys' basketball poll.Dubuque Senior had an important three-point win over Dubuque Wahlert last Friday night to cement its status as Class 4A's No. 1 team. Wahlert dropped from second to third in 3A with the loss.4A No. 2 Bettendorf had an impressive win over third-ranked North Scott last Friday night. The Lancers dropped from third to fourth in 4A this week, behind No. 3 Iowa City West.Ankeny Centennial lost twice last week and dropped from fourth to eighth in this week's 4A poll. Those losses came to Southeast Polk, which moved from sixth and fifth, and Des Moines North, which went from seventh to sixth.Clear Lakes remains the top-ranked team in Class 3A, followed by Harlan and Wahlert. Previously third-ranked Carroll lost twice last week and dropped to No. 9.Western Christian is a strong No. 1 in Class 2A, though New Hampton remains right behind WC. The Chickasaws had a big win last Friday night at 3A 10th-ranked Waverly-Shell Rock to remain undefeated.Cascade dropped from third to ninth after losing twice last week: to Camanche and Dyersville Beckman.Newell-Fonda and LeMars Gehlen remain atop the 1A poll, with Lamoni sliding in at No. 3. Those three teams and fourth-ranked Ar-We Va (16-0) are the unbeaten teams in the class.Meskwaki Settlement School remained at ninth in 1A, and that's despite having a win taken away.
