Iowa State lost for the fourth time in five games last night, falling, 71-58, to Texas Tech at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas.
Texas Tech (14-10, 4-8 Big 12) went on a 21-5 run late in the first half to take command.
The Raiders hit 7 of their first 11 3-pointers and finished 10 of 22 from the arc.
The Raiders led at half 44-28 and had their biggest lead of the game - 19 points - 53-34, midway through the second half.
Then Iowa State (15-8, 6-6) finally put together a 10-0 run to cut the lead to single digits, 53-44. But the Cyclones got no closer than seven points after that, cutting it to 65-58 with 1:15 left on a layup by Seanna Johnson.

Tech was led by Ivonne CookTaylor with 19 points and seven rebounds. Amber Battle had 17 points and Rayven Brooks, 12, and Minta Spears, 11, also got into double-digit scoring.
The win stopped a three-game losing streak for the Raiders. Tech also snapped a four-game losing streak to ISU.
