The Chicago Cubs' video board operators did what they could to help sell Zach Johnson's pitching talent, but SportsCenter anchors John Buccigross and John Anderson weren't buying it.
Johnson threw out the first pitch at Wrigley Field on Tuesday, and before the game issued a challenge to Jordan Spieth, who threw out the first pitch for the Texas Rangers.
The golfers, who have continuously pledged their support for each other's foundations, agreed on a wager of dinner and a $5,000 donation to the winner's charity.
The Cubs claimed Johnson fired a 95 mph heater.
But Buccigross and Anderson broke down the golfers' pitching mechanics on SportsCenter and declared Spieth, who recently claimed the No. 1 ranking in golf, the winner.

So while Johnson halted Spieth's run of major championships at The British Open, the battle on the diamond went to Spieth.
If nothing else, Johnson might have booked another celebrity for next year's ZJF Classic in Cedar Rapids, in Buccigross.
Johnson was also slated to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during Wrigley's 7th-inning stretch. But a long rain delay meant the 7th inning did not occur until close to midnight, and Johnson could not stick around due to an early-morning commitment Wednesday, according to the Cubs' broadcast.
