If you think it has been a long time since the Metro and Iowa City hasn't compete on Saturday night of the Iowa High School Athletic Association state wrestling tournament, then you would be correct.The eight largest schools in the Cedar Rapids/Marion and Iowa City area do not have a finalist at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines for the first time in 31 years.Iowa City was represented in the championship bout. Second-ranked 220-pound senior Daniel Gaffey reached the finals and tried to become the first Regals state champion since 1984.
