KCRG's Scott Saville reports that the knee injury to Solon Quarterback Wes Sleeper is not as serious as first reported. Instead of an ACL , Sleeper has a torn meniscus and should be back for their playoff run.
Sleeper will not play against undefeated Iowa City Regina Friday night. Future Hawkeye James Morris will play quarterback for the second straight week for the top ranked Spartans. Morris was 8-for-8 passing last week for 101 yards, and he also picked up 93 yards on the ground in a 61-8 win over Camanche.
Solon has won 34 straight games.
