Former Iowa center Gabe Olaseni has averaged 8.5 minutes, 2.5 points and 1.5 rebounds in two games for the Miami Heat's summer squad. Olaseni, who stands 6-10, signed as a free agent with the Heat following last month's draft.
Former Northern Iowa center/forward Seth Tuttle has averaged 15.5 minutes, 5.5 points, 3.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in two games with the Miami Heat. Like Olaseni, the 6-9 Tuttle signed a free-agent contract in June.
Melvin Ejim, a star forward with Iowa State, has averaged 29.0 minutes, 11.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two games with the Orlando White squad this summer. Ejim, a 6-6 forward, played last year at Virtus Roma in the Italian league.
Former Iowa State forward Royce White has averaged 10.5 minutes, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists for the L.A. Clippers' summer squad. White (6-8), who last played for Sacramento in the 2013-14 season, has yet to score. Fellow former Cyclone Diante Garrett, a 6-5 guard, has averaged 16.5 minutes, 4.0 points, 1.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 3.5 assists for the Clippers.
The 10-team Orlando Summer League concludes July 10, which is when the 24-team Las Vegas Summer League opens. Former Iowa forward Aaron White (6-9) is slated to play for the Washington Wizards, and ex-Iowa State guard Bryce Dejean-Jones (6-6) will compete for the New Orleans Pelicans. Complete Las Vegas Summer League rosters have not been disclosed.
