Sites and sights around the sports world, part IV

As part of our many journeys covering sports, we encounter interesting and impromptu moments, whether it's in Iowa City or elsewhere. This week I'm throwing out a few random pictures from the most recent college sports season. Here are six from the past season:

Students lined up outside the entry gate at Kinnick Stadium nearly three hours before the homecoming kickoff against Indiana on Oct. 11, 2014. The temperature was 37 degrees when this picture was taken.
Iowa forwards Aaron White and Okey Ukah warm up before the Hawkeyes' game at Purdue on Jan. 24, 2015. Iowa was ranked 25th, while Purdue was struggling. White suffered a neck stinger early in the game and missed the entire second half. The Boilermakers pulled out a late win, and the teams tied for third place in Big Ten play.
Gonzaga received a warm welcome from Seattle, including use of the Seahawks' team bus during the NCAA tournament on March 20-22 at KeyArena. The Bulldogs, who hail from Spokane, Wash., ended Iowa's season 87-68 on March 22, 2015.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway is quite a sight, especially when it's your first visit. On April 6, 2015, This trip, which was a few hours before the NCAA championship game, included tests around the track in modest weather conditions.
