Dondre Alexander's 13 points led a balanced attack as Iowa City West downed Cedar Rapids Prairie, 55-47, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys basketball game last night at Prairie.Jeremy Morgan added nine points for the Trojans (7-4 overall, 5-4 MVC).Jacob Aune led the Hawks (3-9, 2-6) with 14 points. Matt MacDougall added 13.
C.R. JEFFERSON 78, C.R. XAVIER 67 - University of Wisconsin signee Jarrod Uthoff scored 11 of his game-high 21 points in the first quarter and Alec Saunders chipped in 15 for Jefferson (9-2, 6-2 MVC) in a victory at Xavier.The victory allowed the J-Hawks to keep pace with Cedar Falls at the top of the Valley Division.The Saints (2-10, 2-6 MVC) were led offensively by Kevin Hosch with 13 points.
