MARION – In its 18th year the Return of the Turkey Trot road race has moved to a week earlier than past years, now set for Nov. 13th.
In support of passionate athletes, the race committee decided to move the race to a week earlier to avoid conflicting with the popular Living History Farms race in Des Moines.
“The change has been well received now allowing fans of both races to be at both,” said Pat Quinn, race director. “We're also fortunate enough to avoid conflicting with a home Iowa game this year so the timing is really perfect.”
Time is running out to save big on early registration for the annual 8K and 4K race, just $18 until Nov. 2 with guaranteed t-shirt. The price Nov. 3 goes to $22 and to $25 on race day. Go to www.TROTTT.com to print a registration form or register online at www.getmeregistered.com
Longtime sponsors First United Methodist Church in Marion and Benchmark Roof & Pavement Consultants continue their support of the race with proceeds benefiting Horizons, A Family Service Alliance.
