Rated 92nd, French has 11 offers to choose from

Randy Taylor, veteran recruiter who serves as the Director of Recruiting for the National Collegiate Scouting Association, has compiled his list of Top 150 football recruits for the Class of 2011.Christian French of Cedar Rapids Kennedy is rated No. 92. He is the only Iowan listed.Kennedy Coach Tim Lewis said Monday that French has Division-I scholarship offers on the table.The schools, in the order that Lewis named them:Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska, Missouri, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Oregon, Texas A&M and Louisville.French has visited Iowa unofficially twice and has also been at ISU, Missouri and Notre Dame. Lewis said French plans to visit make official visits to Oregon and A&M on the two weekends that Kennedy has Thursday night games at Kingston Stadium.Most of the schools are talking about taking French as an offensive player, through he has very limited experience on offense.Notre Dame and A&M, Lewis said, would like to use him as a outside linebacker in their 3-4 schemes.Lewis added that he doesn't expect a decision from French until late this fall.
