Iowa's Marshall Koehn drilled a 57-yard field goal as time expired to give Iowa a 27-24 victory over Pittsburgh.
The Hawkeyes drove to the Pitt 40 in 50 seconds following a Pitt tying touchdown, and the Panthers called a timeout before Koehn's kick.
"It's not a high probability field goal, but he's done a great job for us and it was a clutch play," head coach Kirk Ferentz told BTN afterward.
The kick is the second longest field goal in program history, coming in front of 63,000-plus at Kinnick Stadium and moving the Hawkeyes to 3-0.

Pitt's Nate Peterman threw an 8-yard TD pass to star receiver Tyler Boyd with 52 seconds left to tie the game at 24.
Iowa running back Jordan Canzeri capped an 11-play, 80-yard drive by pushing his way behind the offensive line and across the goal line from 1 yard out that had given the Hawkeyes a 24-17 with 5:51 lead.
That drive came after Pitt took a delay of game penalty on 4th-and-inches instead of going for it from the Iowa 36, and punted from the 41 to the 20.
Pittsburgh's Ryan Lewis blocked an Iowa punt and Pat Amara Jr. scooped and scored from 28 yards out to tie the game at 17 with 5:51 left in the third quarter.
Chris Blewitt's 48-yard field goal brought the Panthers within 17-10 earlier in the third.
Iowa took big hit after big hit from the Pittsburgh defense in a bruising first half, but the Hawkeyes led 17-7 at halftime.
Canzeri's 4-yard TD run with 44 seconds left in the half capped a 12-play, 74-yard drive to put Iowa up 10.
Quarterback C.J. Beathard's 9-yard run was the first TD of the game, putting Iowa up 10-0 early in the second quarter.

"You get the feeling he's a pretty tough guy," BTN analyst Glen Mason said.
Terrish Webb picked off Beathard on the following Iowa drive, and Pitt QB Nate Peterman got the Panthers on the board with a 15-yard pass to Scott Orndoff on the next play.
Iowa's defense has certainly been nothing to scuff at either as Pitt had 124 yards of offense at the break.
This feels like an old-fashioned Iowa-Michigan State game. Narduzzi certainly has his defenders hitting like the Spartans.

Iowa cornerback Desmond King picked off two passes, including one in the end zone, in the first quarter.
King's first pick came on Pitt's first possession. He grabbed a jump ball out of the air, but the Hawkeye offense stalled and Marshall Koehn booted a 43-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead.
Pitt then drove to the 5-yard line before King saved the day with a diving interception in the back of the end zone on 3rd-and-goal.
What's better than one? TWO! Yes, that's two picks for @HawkeyeFootball's Desmond King. Brought to you by #GrubHub http://t.co/jLH0dCgzPB

The game had an emotional start, as former Iowa safety Brett Greenwood, who suffered an anoxic brain injury in 2011, led the Hawkeyes out of the tunnel.
