C.R. PRAIRIE  vs. C.R. WASHINGTON

• Records: Prairie 2-0, Washington 1-1.
• Notable: After convincing victories over Waterloo East and Dubuque Senior, the level of competition goes up drastically for Prairie. No. 7 Washington is coming off a humbling 65-21 loss at City High in a game in which the Little Hawks accumulated 617 yards of offense (368 rushing, 249 passing). The Hawks have allowed just 167 yards of offense in two games.

LINN-MAR at DUBUQUE SENIOR

• Time & place: 7:15, Dalzell Field, Dubuque
• Records: Linn-Mar 2-0, Senior 0-2.
• Notable: Despite notable wins over Cedar Rapids Kennedy and Cedar Rapids Xavier, Linn-Mar just missed cracking the Class 4A top 10. The Lions enter what Coach Bob Forsyth calls a “trap game” against the winless Rams. Linn-Mar running back Jer Garman has rushed for 370 yards and four touchdowns, and QB Will Roth has completed 22 of 36 passes for 254 yards.
