CEDAR RAPIDS -- Saturday's Cedar Rapids Prairie Invitational cross country has been canceled.
"Due to the continued projected heat, and for the safety of all kids, coaches, and workers, we will not be holding the meet," said an e-mail from Prairie, Thursday afternoon.
Twenty-three girls teams and 20 boys teams were entered.
