Prairie expected to name hoops coach Tuesday

Jun. 7, 2010 4:44 pm
Cedar Rapids Prairie Athletics Director Rocky Bennett confirmed Monday that the school expects to hire a new varsity boys' basketball coach sometime Tuesday but would not say who that person is or who the pool of candidates is.
Sources from outside Prairie's administration say the likely hire is former Iowa Hawkeye guard James Moses. He was an assistant coach this past season at Mount Mercy College and has previous prep assistant coaching experience at Cedar Rapids Washington.
Paul Schenkelberg stepped down from his position as Prairie coach last month.
