Pierschbacher selected for All-America game

Cedar Falls' highly-touted offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher has earned a major honor.It was announced Wednesday that Pierschbacher has been selected to the 2014 Under Armour All-America High School football game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The contest is scheduled for Jan. 2, beginning at 3 p.m. (Iowa time), and will be televised on ESPN.
Pierschbacher, who committed to national power University of Alabama, is listed as the top offensive guard in the country, according to ESPN 300. He is one of 90 football players chosen for the all-star game. Pierschbacher will be recognized Friday during a selection tour news conference, presenting him with an honorary game jersey.
