PGA: Playing in stellar group, Johnson shoots 68
FARMINGDALE, NY - Padraig Harrington's 7-under-par 64 leads the pack during day one of The Barclays at Bethpage State Park in New York. Harrington made eight birdies in his opening round and shot 6-under 29 on the back side.
Cedar Rapids native Zach Johnson is four shots back of the Irishman after shooting 68 on Thursday. Johnson made a bogey and four birdies and currently sits in 11th place, tied with former major winners Tiger Woods, Ernie Els, Bubba Watson and Phil Mickelson.
Johnson tees off Friday at 1:06 p.m. EST with Woods and Rory McIlroy, who shot 69 on Thursday.
