NEWTON - Iowa Speedway staff announced Tuesday that only temporary seating remains for the NASCAR Nationwide Series U.S. Cellular 250 on Saturday, Aug. 6. The race is set for 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are still available for $55 and $60. This is the second Nationwide Series race at Iowa Speedway this season. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the John Deere Dealers of Iowa 250 in May. The same race last year sold out with 55,988 fans. The Nationwide Series event in May drew a crowd of 37,811.
“This is the first season that Iowa Speedway has earned the right to host two stops on the NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule,” Iowa Speedway President Jerry Jauron said. “The first race sold out and this one will too. We're pleased that people enjoy watching great racing at our track.”
Iowa Speedway also boasted a crowd of 35,118 for the IZOD IndyCar Series Iowa Corn Indy 250 in June and had 24,408 attend the NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series Coca-Cola 200 race last weekend.
